GPX Medical AB (publ) is a Swedish public limited company with its registered office in Lund. The company’s share is listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm under the short name GPXMED, more information about the share can be found in the menu on the left. Governance, management and control are distributed between the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting, the company’s board, the CEO, the Swedish Companies Act and the current Articles of Association.
GPX Medical AB (publ) does not follow the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance.

GPX Medical’s Board consists of five members elected at GPX Medical’s Annual General Meeting on May 20, 2021.
Märta Lewander Xu
Chairman of the Board since 2019, former CEO on a part-time basis and board member for GPX Medical 2016-2019.
Experience and education
Märta Lewander Xu has a doctorate in technology in physics, has a master’s degree in technical physics and a teaching degree in mathematics and physics. Märta was employed at Gasporox AB (publ) in 2010 as CTO and has been CEO of Gasporox AB (publ) since January 2015, which is listed on Nasdaq First North, board member of Lund Laser Center at Lund University, BeammWave AB, Serstech AB and Inscientia AB, and deputy board member of CxTx AB.

Katarina Svanberg
Board member since 2016
Experience and education
Katarina Svanberg innehar en läkarexamen och Fil. Mag. Medicine Doktorsgrad. Hon är en aktiv universitetslärare och doktorandshandledare. Hon har arbetat som överläkare och adjungerad professor i onkologi under perioden 2004 – 2018 vid Lunds universitet (överläkare till 2013). Katarina är sedan 2011 professor i bioteknik och sedan 2018 särskild forskare på professorsnivå vid Lunds universitet. Katarina är även styrelseordförande i Medicinska Laser centrum och styrelseledamot i Lund Laser Center, Spectracure AB (publ) och SPCIN AB.

Helene Hartman
Board member since 2021
Experience and education
Helene Hartman is a trained chemical engineer and has a background as a leader in Tetra Pak, and now she runs two life science companies at Medicon Village based on research from Lund University. Helene is a board member and also CEO of Xinnate AB and of In2Cure AB. Board-
chairman of the Crime Victim Support Center Central Skåne, board member of Sparbanksstiftelsen Färs o Frosta, and of the Board Academy Skåne. Helene is knowledgeable in financial issues, has a solid technical background and has extensive experience of the challenges that smaller life science companies face.

Johannes Swartling
Board member since 2021
Experience and education
Johannes Swartling has a degree in civil engineering and holds a PhD in physics and currently holds a position as CTO at Spectracure AB, where he is responsible for the company’s research and development. He is a board member at NanoEcho AB, chairman of the board of Specular Diffusion AB and deputy board member at SPCIN AB. He has also previously worked as CTO at both Gasporox and GPX Medical and thus has great insight into the technology within the company. He has experience in the development of medical technology, clinical trials, as well as quality and regulatory issues including risk management and has conducted research regarding applications for laser technology and spectroscopy in biology and medicine.

Urban Ottosson
Board member since 2021
Experience and education
Urban Ottoson has a master’s degree in economics from Lund University and a degree from KTH Executive School in Stockholm. He has worked as CFO since 1999 in several companies, including HEXPOL, Beijer Electronics, Höganäs Group, Öresundskraft and Lammhults Design Group. He is also a private investor in addition to his assignments. Former board member of Lendify AB and chairman of the board of Modity Energy Trading. He was CFO of GPX Medical 2020-2021. He is the CEO and board member of Predictus Asset Management AB, and CFO of TePe Munhygienprodukter.

GPX Medical management & team
GPX Medical’s management consists of CEO Hanna Sjöström and CFO Christian Gyllenberg. In addition to the management, there is a strong team of key people with both technical and medical expertise. The team is also complemented by an extensive network of specialist consultants.

Hanna Sjöström
External CEO since 2019
Experience and education
Hanna Sjöström has a master’s degree in economics from Lund University (Master of Business Administration) with a specialization in Technology Management. She has also taken a course in leadership in the Executive MBA program of the Swedish Management Group, and is a certified board member in Life Sciences. Hanna has held leading positions in large groups such as L’Oréal, the Coca-Cola Company and a senior position at TePe Munhygiensproduker AB, where she was part of the company’s management team. Hanna is also a board member of Alteco Medical AB and chairman of the board of Inscientia AB.

Christian Gyllenberg
CFO since 2022
Experience and education
Christian Gyllenberg has a bachelor’s degree in Business Law and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kristianstad University. He has previously worked with auditing and as a Business Controller in business-related roles at companies in various industries such as EY, Attendo and DHL. He is the CFO of Aurora Punks alongside his assignment at GPX Medical.
